UM-Mounts are ideally suited for outdoor modules from 2.5 to 5.0 kW and are often used in combination with a UM-30 or UM-100 element. The UM-50 is then placed on the compressor side (heavy side) of smaller outdoor units and on the condenser side (light side) of heavier outdoor units. These vibration isolators are very "soft" and offer a high level of vibration isolation, even with less stable support structures . The UM-Mounts are electrolytically galvanized for outdoor installation. It is recommended to apply a clear tectyl coating to the elements after installation to prevent accelerated aging and corrosion.
