UM-Mounts are ideally suited for outdoor modules from 2.5 to 5.0 kW and are often used in combination with a UM-50 or UM-100 element. The UM-30 is then placed on the condenser side (light side) of the outdoor unit. These vibration isolators are very "soft" and offer a high degree of vibration isolation, even with less stable support structures . The UM-Mounts are electrolytically galvanized for outdoor installation. It is recommended to apply a clear tectyl coating to the elements after installation to prevent accelerated aging and corrosion.
